Smt. Rashmi kartik poojari is a 'Bharata nrityam dancer' from Himalaya Parvatiya CHS, Ghatkopar (W) Mumbai.
Smt. Rashmi Kartik Poojari,
is the daughter of Smt. Laxmi Poojari & K. R. Poojari the residents of Himalaya Parvatiya Co-operative Housing Society, Ghatkopar, Mumbai. Rashmi completed her Schooling from "Fatima High School", Vidyavihar. Later, she opted to complete her Bachelor's degree Engineering in Information Technology from Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Vidyavihar, Mumbai.
To-day, Rashmi has 12+ years of experience in Corporate world and holds a designation of "Project Manager" in Citius Tech healthcare Technology, Mumbai. Rashmi is passionate about learning many new. things, including Bharata nrityam Classical dance form. So she enrolled at Nrityodaya Academy of Performing Arts.
Her Nritya Guru is 'Dr. Smt. Jayashree Rajagopalan', is one of the foremost disciples of 'Padma bhushan, Dr. Padma subrahmanyam' This Institute was evolved by Smt. Padma subrahmanyam. bringing under MARGA Tradition- A Technique of the Natya Shastra & the Desi (Regional) form of Bharata nrityam.
Among her parents, Rashmi has special high regards for her mother, Smt. Laxmi Rajeeva Poojari, for initiating to learn the Bharata nrityam, Dance form, and has been the cause in her life to carve a 'niche milestone' in her life. She is interested to propagate the Bharatanrityam movement among her friends and seekers of this style of Dance form.
On 7th, January, 2023, Smt. Laxmi Rajeeva herooru's maiden Kannada book, "kateyolagomdu kate" was released at The Mysore association, Hall, Mumbai. Dr. G.N.Upadhya, Head of the Kannada division, University of Bombay, was the chairman of the session. The book releasing was performed by Shri. Shrinivasa jokatte, Deputy Editor of Karnataka malla daily of Mumbai. Smt. Shashikala heggade introduced the story. Smt. Mitra venkatraj gave a lecture on 'kathana karana', Smt. Rashmi Kartik Poojari gave a bharata nrityam performance. (Incidentally Sow. Rashmi is the daughter of Smt/Shri. Poojariji)
Shri. Shrinivas jokatte, Deputy editor, "Karnataka malla daily news paper', released the book of Smt. Laxmi rajeeva herooru.
Dr. Shri. Vishvanath karnad, who wrote the foreword to the book, was honoured by Smt. Laxmi.

Smt. Laxmi Hails from Herooru, and completed her B.A ; B.Ed Degree in kannada language, and married to Shri. Rajeev Poojari and settled in Mumbai. During the year, 2017-2019 She completed M.A degree from the University of Mumbai. She had the passion to work on kannada literature, and contributed stories, poems, and biographies of many noted kananda poets. Those literary works were published in Karnataka malla kannada daily regularly. She is also the active member of 'Srujana balaga'- a ladies kannada writers wing. 'Mahila yakshagana kala sangha', 'Billawara association, Kundapur'. She is also Working as 'Secretary of Primari school old student's association, Herooru.

Nritya:
Nritya consists of footwork and abhinaya. It relates to Rasa and psychological state. Angika abhinaya relating to Hasta, eyes, eye brows, lips etc. are very important in Nritya. It can be termed as the explanatory aspect of dance where hand gestures and facial expressions convey the meaning of the lyrics of the performing song. Bhav of the dancer is of prime importance in this so it can also be considered as the miming aspect of dance.
Natya:
Natya means abhinaya and it is the combined manifestation of bhava, rasa and abhinaya. The term natya is derived from the root Nat, meaning movement and to mean to dance or act. It can also be considered as the combination of Lyal, isai and nataka, ie, Literature, music and Drama. Thus Natya is telling the story through dance and music or laya and abhinaya or Nritta and Nritya.
