Shri. Taradatt Phuloriaji, the resident of The Himalaya Parvatiya CHS, Ghatkopar w, Mumbai :

Brief history of The Himalaya parvatiya CHS, Ghatkopar w, Mumbai :

This residential co-op hsg.society, started during १९६२-६३, to cater the needs of the people from the Gadwall hilly region  area. During those days, most of the  residents were Taxi drivers, Govt. granted this place for very concession rate. Shri. Pandit Govindvallab Panth, then home minister, visited this place in 1962  and helped to sanction the said land, and it was earmarked, the area covered was from The home guards to society. 1969 a few buildings, A,B,C,D,E were built., by Messrs. Agarwal builders. At this juncture, Shri. Phuloriaji applied for the accommodation and purchased a flat at A building.  Govt. loan was arranged  to the members, Still the days were hard and people were finding it difficult to clear their loans.

Some of the building came up during the same period were :

1. Shankar Kunj, 2. Vaibhav,3. vanrose, 4. Bandhubhav etc;

Himalay Mahadev mandir :
This mandir was built with the contribution from the members in 1980. Shri. Pathak, and the other progressive minded residents.
Life sketch of Phuloriaji :
Phuloria started his career in  Aditya textile mills situated at Sakinaka.Bombay.  Every thing was smooth until Dr. Data samant organised Textile strike (1981-82) in Bombay, and many companies closed down for long time. Mill owners were not able to meet his demands. In fact, the mill owners were planning to modernise the age old textile industry, (150 years old) and this was the right time to send excess staff members, workers. This was possible because of the modernisation of all the textile processes around India and world over.

Now Shri. Phuloriaji, joined Messrs. Agarwal & Co; served till he retired. He had great love for the Himalaya parvatiya CHS.  So he served here in many capacities for long time. He served as the Secretary, from 1977-1984. Later also he served as an active member for several years.

Shri. Phuloriaji was a very good social worker. He worked in the committee of the Pandit Govind vallab panth vidyalay, for a long time.

Family :

Shri. Phuloria has two male children, and one girl child. All are married and well settled.
